La aclamada película ‘Oppenheimer’ se alzó como la gran triunfadora en los premios de cine Bafta 2024, celebrados el domingo en el majestuoso Royal Festival Hall de Londres, Inglaterra.

Dirigida por Christopher Nolan, esta favorita de la temporada de premios lideró con un impresionante total de 13 nominaciones, conquistando finalmente siete prestigiosos galardones, incluyendo Mejor Director, Actor Principal y el codiciado premio a la Mejor Película.

Al respecto, Nolan expresó su profundo agradecimiento al estudio Universal por permitirles explorar temas oscuros y descubrir su potencial creativo.

‘Poor Things‘ también brilló en la ceremonia, llevándose a casa cinco premios, incluyendo el reconocimiento a Emma Stone como Mejor Actriz Principal.

La talentosa Da’Vine Joy Randolph, de ‘The Holdovers’, continuó dejando su huella en la categoría de Actriz de Reparto, agradeciendo emocionada a su coprotagonista Paul Giamatti por su contribución al arte cinematográfico.

El escalofriante drama ‘The Zone of Interest’, del director Jonathan Glazer, recibió el prestigioso premio a la Mejor Película Británica Destacada y Mejor Película de Habla No Inglesa.

La ceremonia contó con la presencia de leyendas del cine como Tom Cruise y Michael J. Fox, mientras que el príncipe William asistió en un acto de solidaridad tras la hospitalización de Catalina, princesa de Gales, y el diagnóstico de cáncer de su padre, el rey Carlos.

Tras los premios, los Screen Actors Guild Awards serán el próximo evento importante antes de los esperados Premios de la Academia.
